![]() ![]() I'm an avid reader, probably 2.5 hours per day and can see no advantage in more than doubling the weight and making the devices awkward and unwieldy with attached covers flopping about. There's probably eight or more fully functioning Kobos and Kindles kicking around the house right now. That being said, you can always side load them with Calibre.ĭefinitely not a fan of sleep covers and I've had just about every ereader out there. That's sad that BANQ don't allow overdrive but I guess it will sometimes in the future. If you are going the Kobo route, the app Calibre is a must-have to manage your library. ![]() I'm biased, I use Kobos since 2011, currently using the big Elipsa (10"). ![]() I suspect that, as time goes on, more libraries will be thusly increasing security making this particular feature on this device obsolete. However, the Montreal library does not have this requirement and I was able to successfully borrow a book from there. Well, the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec has a captcha on their website, which the Kobo is unable to parse, and I called the BAnQ to see whether there was another solution and no, unfortunately I have to send it the old-fashioned way through the computer if I borrow from them on Overdrive. I bought it (at least in part) for its interconnectivity with Overdrive so I can borrow from the library. ![]()
